Part-Time Music Minister Position

LaFayette Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a part-time Music Minister to help lead our congregation in worship and nurture a vibrant music ministry. Our church values meaningful worship, authentic community, intergenerational ministry, and serving our neighbors. We believe the church is at its best when people use their gifts together to glorify God and make a difference in the lives of others.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

• Has a growing Christian faith and a sense of calling to serve the church through music.

• Has strong musical and worship leadership skills.

• Enjoys working with people and building relationships.

• Can encourage and lead a volunteer choir with patience and enthusiasm.

• Values collaboration, flexibility, and teamwork.

• Appreciates both congregational singing and choral music.

• Is comfortable serving in a Baptist church with a diverse range of worship experiences.

• Has experience in church music ministry; formal education or training in music is welcomed.

  
  

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and leading the musical portion of weekly Sunday worship.

• Directing and rehearsing with the adult choir.

• Supporting congregational singing through hymns, songs, and other worship music.

• Coordinating music for special services and seasons of the church year.

• Working with volunteer musicians and singers.

• Encouraging and developing the musical gifts of people within our congregation.
