This fall we will be traveling to the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. As always we expect to have a great time together touring historic sites and taking in beautiful scenery. Known items on our itinerary include the following:

• Charlottesville will be our first stop. There we will definitely spend the afternoon at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello . Depending on time we may visit the campus of UVA and the Downtown Mall.

• On Tuesday we will journey north from C’ville to Luray Caverns. After touring the caverns and visiting a nearby village, we will get lunch and then head over to the scenic Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah Valley Parkway. After taking in several overlooks we will travel to Staunton to tour President Woodrow Wilson’s Home & Library and Museum. Then we will return to our home base in C’ville.

• On our way home on Wednesday we will stop at the Appomattox Courthouse Historic Site. We will stop for lunch on the way home and should return to Fayetteville no later than 4 pm.

As always there’ll be great fellowship and good food along the way. We will be lodging at the Holiday Inn Express and will enjoy an expanded continental breakfast each morning.

Cost: $250 per person for a double-occupancy room. (Single occupancy rooms available for a total trip cost of $385) Includes 2 nights of lodging with expanded continental breakfasts, admissions to attractions listed above, transportation. Additional meals to be purchased include: 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Space is limited. Reserve your spot with a deposit of $100 per person. Deposits may be brought to the church office or given to Steve Branch or you may sign-up online using REALM.
